This year our Caravan heads south then east and finally north to Scripps Ranch. Wow! At the end we head west to our dinner at the Seaside Buffet. The Caravan has availability for a limited number of individuals. We are limited by the size of member’s gardens -- sorry this is a members only event!

The cost is $20.00 and includes a buffet dinner with coffee, tea or a soft drink.  Please don’t forget to wear your name tag!

You can sign up and pay at a meeting or online. I suggest you sign up early, as the Caravan always sells out! But there will be a waiting list for those that are interested but did not sign up early enough to receive a confirmed reservation.

Stops 1 and 2 - (Scheduled  to start at 12:15pm) Will be in the Point Loma area. See a newer member's (Paula Reynolds) epies; then move on to “Garden Jewels Nursery’’ (Katie Lutz & Cheri Haimsohn). Here you will be able to see and purchase some beautiful epies! Both gardens are beautiful, wonderful and creative. Don’t forget your camera!

Stop 3 – The next stop is in La Mesa. Jean Bonner & Ron Ashman have a yard full of palm trees, aloes, agaves and of course epies.

Stop 4 – In Santee, our next stop is at Marj & Bob Myers’ home. Bob was a founding member of SDES and Marj is also a long time member. Over the years they have continued to update their lovely garden and it is really beautiful.

Stop 5 – In Scripps Ranch, the home of Sal & Ivette Castellitto. In the 3 years Sal has been a member he has collected over 150 epi plants & cuttings and built a 150 sq. foot shade house. Come and smell their roses and see their citrus trees. Here you will pick up your ticket for the buffet dinner.

Final Stop – A great dinner at the Seaside Buffet on Miramar Road.  We are scheduled to be here after 4:30 pm.

See the April and May Epi News for final Caravan details. Maps, addresses & directions will be e-mailed. No e-mail ? Pick up your map at the May meeting.
